The prime minister stated that while the government should concentrate on formulating policies and enforcing taxes on wealth, the private sector should assume the burden of generating wealth and serve as the nation's growth engine in an interview with state-owned television.
In order to attain economic stability, he made clear that more revenue collection through active private sector participation was required. Acknowledging the critical role that income creation plays in attaining economic stability, he emphasized the significance of heightened private sector participation.
He added that the government ought to spend the taxes that have accrued in a more responsible manner.
In response to a query concerning the natural riches of Balochistan, the prime minister stated that the majority of the precious minerals and resources, including gold and copper, had not yet been fully utilized.
He insisted that with the passage of the 18th Amendment, the question of the new discovery and exploitation of mineral resources had been resolved because the province and the federation would split the resources equally.
The province and the nation as a whole stand to gain greatly from the exploitation of Balochistan's substantial resource potential, which includes gold and copper. Additionally, the country will add value to these resources.
Due to concerns with capacity, resources, and technological know-how, Pakistan was not previously equipped for exploration; the prime minister emphasized that the exploration was being conducted at the appropriate moment.
In response to a query regarding his plans for when the caretaker arrangement ends, the prime minister stated that he had not planned on taking on any specific job. "But certainly, it would be a great opportunity if I could speak on the parliament floor."
He claimed that he preferred his position as a member of parliament to that of an executive.
