Imran Khan's lawyer argue that the cipher case trial should be open to prove there is no crime involved, citing historical reasons.
Imran Khan, the former prime minister and chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf, has been detained without authorization for 93 days. His fundamental human rights have been violated during this time. His arrest in the cipher case was initially kept under wraps, and the trial for this bogus charge was held behind closed doors in the jail. The legal team for Imran Khan initially filed an appeal against this injustice with the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Aamer Farooq, after approaching the special court. Nevertheless, the unconstitutional trial was upheld in both cases. Imran Khan's attorneys then filed an internal appeal.
Imran Khan's lawyer conveyed his message to the country.
Barrister Gohar Khan, Chairman Imran Khan's attorney, met with him today. "Nawaz Sharif always had the habit of playing with the umpire on his side, but this time he does not want to let our team play," he stated that Imran Khan had given a message to the country. We seek fairness from the Election Commission and the Supreme Court because we are the nation's largest party and enjoy 70% of the popular vote. The country ought to band together to combat the spread of terrorism and combat it in all of its forms."
Imran Khan said, "I want to appear in the Supreme Court."
In an appeal to the Supreme Court, the government is contesting the NAB modifications. All parties concerned, including Chairman Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, received summons from the Supreme Court inquiring as to whether he intended to contest the appeal. In response, Imran Khan stated today that he would be willing to go before the Supreme Court. He underlined that the court ought to do everything within its power to make his attendance possible.
The NAB court has postponed the hearing in the Tosha Khana and Al Qadir Trust case until November 14.
Chairman Imran Khan's attorney, Naeem Haider Panjutha, tweeted, "The NAB Tosha Khan and Al-Qadir Trust case hearing has been rescheduled for the 14th." The NAB prosecutor was ecstatic today and made the case that the applications could not be reinstated. since these are restricted in time. We have said that there is no time limit specified in the recently modified ordinance. The Ministry of Law has been instructed by the court to provide a new ordinance before the following date.
In the third instance, Sanam Javed was released on bond but remained under custody.
Sanam Javed's bail request in the fictitious PMLN office burning case was granted by the anti-terrorism court in Lahore. Following her arrest, Judge Arshad Javed of the Anti-Terrorism Court granted her bail. The bail was awarded by the court instead of two lakh rupees. However, Sanam Javed is still not out in the public.
Punjab Police raided Parvez Elahi's home once more at night.
The son of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central President Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Moonis Elahi, tweeted, "After yesterday's botched operation, police stormed our house again today at 4 o'clock without a warrant. There was no sign of my uncle, Major Tahir Sadiq Sahib. There were just women in the house. Punjab Police should focus on eradicating crime rather than conducting raids on PTI homes and intimidating PTI members."
The PML-N staff was forced to remove the tweet after losing their own election poll.
In an election-related poll, the PML-N media team polled followers on Twitter, finding that 81% of respondents supported Tehreek-e-Insaf. The PML-N media staff saw such a horrible loss at their own turf that they ultimately decided to remove the tweet.
